  17. Actually it would probably be fairly easy at this point to switch from
  18. using a.out object files to ELF files, pending completion of full
  19. support for Amiga hunk format.  ELF supports multiple sections quite
  20. easily, so having a ".chip" section would be trivial.

  22. It's also unclear at this point what the PowerPC amiga's will use for
  23. an object and executable format (I'd prefer ELF but that's just
  24. because it is a semi-standard that has a proven track record).  So the
  25. longterm viability of the current hunk format is somewhat in doubt.
